Waiver Policy
The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Social Sciences and Humanities (IJAISSH) is committed to ensuring that Article Processing Charges (APC) do not prevent the publication of high-quality research. We offer fee waivers and discounts to authors who demonstrate genuine financial need.
Eligibility Criteria
Waiver requests are considered based on the following criteria:
- Full Waiver (100%): Authors from low-income countries as classified by the World Bank Country Classifications
- Partial Waiver (50%): Authors from lower-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank
- Hardship Cases: Authors from any country who can demonstrate genuine financial hardship or lack of institutional funding support
How to Apply
- Waiver requests must be made at the time of manuscript submission
- Include a brief statement explaining the basis for your waiver request
- Provide your institutional affiliation and country
- If applicable, include documentation of funding status (e.g., unfunded research, student status)

Important Guidelines

| Decision Authority | All waiver decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief at their sole discretion |
| Editorial Independence | Waiver status has absolutely no influence on the editorial or peer review process. All manuscripts undergo the same rigorous review regardless of payment status |
| Timing | Waiver requests submitted after acceptance will not be considered |
| Validity | Waivers are granted on a per-article basis and do not carry over to future submissions |
| Notification | Authors will be notified of the waiver decision within 5 business days of the request |
Supported Countries (Examples)
The following is a non-exhaustive list of countries eligible for waivers. Please refer to the latest World Bank classifications for the complete list.
Full Waiver (Low-Income Countries)
Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Uganda, Yemen, and others as classified by the World Bank.
Partial Waiver (Lower-Middle-Income Countries)
Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Cambodia, Cameroon, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, El Salvador, Ghana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Lesotho, Mauritania, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, and others as classified by the World Bank.
