Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics
The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Social Sciences and Humanities (IJAISSH) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. We adhere to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect all parties involved in the publication process to comply with these ethical standards.
Duties of Editors
- Fair Play: Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy
- Confidentiality: Editors and editorial staff must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher
- Conflicts of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest
- Publication Decisions: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts will be published, guided by the journal's editorial policies and applicable legal requirements
Duties of Reviewers
- Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively with constructive feedback
- Timeliness: Reviewers who feel unqualified or unable to complete a review promptly should notify the editor
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review if appropriate
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors
Duties of Authors
- Originality: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If authors have used the work of others, it must be appropriately cited
- Multiple Submissions: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously
- Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. Ghost authorship and gift authorship are unethical
- Data Access: Authors may be asked to provide raw data in connection with a manuscript for editorial review
- Disclosure: Authors must disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript
- Errors in Published Work: Authors who discover significant errors in their published work must promptly notify the editor
Research Misconduct
IJAISSH takes allegations of research misconduct seriously. Misconduct includes but is not limited to:
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism)
- Manipulation of images or figures
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Authorship manipulation
Allegations of misconduct will be investigated following COPE guidelines. Confirmed misconduct may result in retraction of the article, notification of the authors' institutions, and a ban on future submissions.
Corrections and Retractions
IJAISSH follows COPE retraction guidelines. Corrections (errata) will be published for minor errors. Articles may be retracted if the findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error, if the findings have been previously published elsewhere without proper attribution, or if the work constitutes plagiarism or reports unethical research.
