Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Article Processing Charges (APC)

IJAILSS is an open-access journal that levies an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication. The APC covers peer review management, copyediting, typesetting, online hosting, and archiving.

Current APC: USD 150 per accepted article.

2. Payment Trigger

An APC invoice is issued only after a manuscript has been formally accepted following peer review. Authors are not charged for submissions that are rejected or withdrawn before acceptance.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Pre-Publication Withdrawal
If an author requests withdrawal of an accepted manuscript before the final production files (PDF/XML) have been generated, a full refund of the APC will be issued within 14 business days, less any applicable transaction fees.

3.2 Post-Production / Published Articles
Once the final galley proof has been approved by the author(s) or the article has been published online, no refund will be issued. At that stage, editorial, production, and hosting costs have been fully incurred.

3.3 Duplicate Payments
If an author accidentally makes a duplicate payment, the extra amount will be refunded in full within 7 business days. Please contact [email protected] with your payment reference numbers.

3.4 Waiver Requests
Authors from low-income countries or facing genuine financial hardship may apply for an APC waiver before submission. See our Waiver Policy for details.

4. Cancellation of Submission

Authors may withdraw a submitted manuscript at any stage before acceptance without any charge by notifying [email protected]. No fee is levied for pre-acceptance withdrawal.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email [email protected] with the subject line "APC Refund Request – [Manuscript ID]" and include:

Your full name and institutional affiliation
Manuscript title and assigned Manuscript ID
Payment date and transaction/reference number
Reason for the refund request

We aim to process all eligible refund requests within 14 business days of receiving complete information.

6. Payment Gateway

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Refunds are credited to the original payment method. IJAILSS does not store card or bank account details; all payment data is handled by Razorpay in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
