Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Law and Social Sciences (IJAILSS) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. We employ multiple archiving strategies to ensure that scholarly articles remain permanently available to the global research community.

Digital Preservation Strategy

IJAILSS employs a multi-layered approach to digital preservation to safeguard against data loss, technological obsolescence, and service disruption.

Archive/Service Type Status
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) Dark archive — content preserved and accessible if journal ceases publication Planned
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) Distributed preservation network across participating libraries Planned
CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) Dark archive with trigger events for content release Planned
Internet Archive Open web archiving via Wayback Machine Active
Crossref DOI registration ensuring persistent identifiers for all articles Planned

Author Self-Archiving Policy

Under our CC BY 4.0 open access license, authors are permitted and encouraged to self-archive their published articles. The following self-archiving rights apply:

Version Where Embargo
Preprint (submitted version) Personal websites, institutional repositories, preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, SSRN, OSF Preprints) No embargo
Postprint (accepted version) Personal websites, institutional repositories, subject repositories No embargo
Published Version (Version of Record) Anywhere, with proper attribution and link to the original publication No embargo

OAI-PMH Access

IJAILSS supports the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH), enabling automated harvesting of article metadata by indexing services, libraries, and repositories.

OAI-PMH Endpoint: https://aijournalpress.com/index.php/IJAILSS/oai

Content Formats

  • All published articles are available in PDF and HTML formats
  • Metadata is exposed in Dublin Core format via OAI-PMH
  • Article metadata includes DOIs for persistent identification (when available)

Commitment to Permanence

IJAILSS is committed to maintaining access to all published content in perpetuity. In the unlikely event that the journal ceases publication, all content will remain accessible through the preservation networks listed above. We adhere to the principle that scholarly publications are part of the permanent academic record and must be preserved for future generations of researchers.
